Kirghiz Pile Woven Bagface
This bag face was made by the Uzbek peoples of Central Asia, and originally would have had an integral flat woven back, just as with the Turkmen bag faces. It was used for the transportation and storage of goods or materials. The design bears a close resemblance to the designs found on the bag faces of the neighboring Turkmen tribes, which raises the questions of the origin of the design and the manner of transference.
