Barry Richard's assertions to the contrary not withstanding, it
seems there is no evidence that Led Zeppelin played at The
Wheaton Youth Center the night of Richard Nixon's Inauguration
in1969. Nonetheless The Wheaton Youth Center was an important venue during the formative period of the music promotion industry and hosted both local acts and more well known artists such as Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Bob Seeger,Rare Earth, and Iggy Pop.

Constructed in 1963 of award winning design by the esteemed architectural firm of Keyes,Lethbridge & Condon, the structure was inspired by Japanese architecture.
