The opening of the Alliance City Hospital was an important event in the history of Alliance. While a booming railroad town Alliance was still a rural community and the hospital served the neighboring farmland. Farming is a dangerous occupation where grevious injuries are a real occupational hazard and before the advent of this hospital the injured and families were left to fend for themselves in the wake of such catastrophic events.
